Sahibzada Farhan of Islamabad United made history by joining an exclusive club of T20 players who have scored four centuries in a single calendar year.
His remarkable 49-ball century against Peshawar Zalmi in HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10 on Monday at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium placed him alongside T20 legends such as Chris Gayle (2011), Virat Kohli (2016), Jos Buttler (2022), and Shubman Gill (2023). Farhan is now the first Pakistani batter to achieve this feat in just nine innings.

His innings played a crucial role in helping Islamabad United reach a massive total of 243/5 after being put to bat first. Despite a rocky start with Andries Gous being run out for a duck, Farhan formed a quickfire partnership with Colin Munro, putting on 100 runs together.
Farhan reached his century in just 49 balls, matching the record for the fastest century by an Islamabad United player in PSL history.
The pair’s 144-run partnership was broken when Munro was dismissed for 40, but Jason Holder and Ben Dwarshuis contributed with 20 and 18 not out, respectively, as United powered to a formidable score. Farhan’s performance not only laid the foundation for a likely win but also further solidified his place in the T20 records.
