Despite the added precautions, the scene remained festive. Khan was accompanied on the balcony by his young niece, Ayat, whose presence delighted both the crowd and social media. The actor, known for his strong bond with his family, waved at fans with Ayat by his side, turning a tense moment into a touching exchange.
This Eid also marked Salman Khan’s return to cinemas after a two-year break with Sikandar, directed by A.R. Murugadoss and starring Rashmika Mandanna. While expectations were high, the film didn’t generate the same level of excitement as some of Khan’s previous Eid releases.
Early box office estimates from Sacnilk.com suggest Sikandar earned ₹26 crore on its opening day. On March 30, 2025, the film had an overall Hindi occupancy rate of 21.60%, with morning shows starting at 13.76% and peaking at over 25% in the evening.
