In yet another tragic incident of alleged honour killing, a young TikToker named Iqra—popularly known on social media as ‘Thal Ki Shehzadi’—was shot dead at her residence in Noorpur Thal, a tehsil in the Khushab District.
According to local police, the suspect—Iqra’s cousin—was reportedly angered by her lifestyle-oriented TikTok videos. Khushab District Police Officer (DPO) Tauqeer Muhammad Naeem stated that initial investigations indicate the murder was driven by so-called ‘honour’.

The confrontation turned deadly when the suspect opened fire on Iqra during a dispute, killing her on the spot before any medical assistance could be provided.
Police acted promptly and apprehended the accused. A formal murder case has been filed at the Noorpur Thal Police Station, and further investigation is ongoing to uncover all details surrounding the case.
Iqra had gained significant popularity on TikTok and other social media platforms for her content. Her untimely death has sparked widespread condemnation online, with many demanding justice and accountability.
In response to the incident, human rights activists have once again called on authorities to implement stronger measures to protect women and prevent violence carried out under the pretext of honour.
