Kohli further thanked her, emphasizing that the victory belonged to both of them: “I am incredibly grateful for you. This triumph is as much yours as it is mine. Thank you for being yourself—I love you.”

India secured their second T20 World Cup title by defeating South Africa in a thrilling final, winning by seven runs. Their first victory came in 2007 against Pakistan in the inaugural T20 World Cup.

South Africa faced early setbacks with the loss of Reeza Hendricks and Aiden Markram, but a resilient 68-run partnership between Quinton de Kock and Tristan Stubbs revived their innings. Heinrich Klaasen then aggressively scored 22 runs off Axar Patel in the 15th over, giving South Africa a strong position.

However, South Africa concluded their innings at 169-8. India’s bowling was led by Pandya, who claimed three wickets, supported by Arshdeep Singh and Bumrah with two each, and Patel with one.

Earlier in the match, Virat Kohli played a pivotal role with a top score of 76 runs from 59 balls, which included six fours and two sixes. His impressive innings laid a solid foundation for India’s total.
