Wasim Akram is optimistic about Pakistan's chances in the 2023 Cricket World Cup.

Due to the comparable playing circumstances, former captain Wasim Akram feels Pakistan would give an excellent performance in the forthcoming World Cup 2023 in India.

In an interview with the media, the famous pacer remarked that Pakistan, led by modern-day great Babar Azam, has a good and capable team for the huge tournament.

The Lahore-born cricketer emphasised that the players’ fitness and ability to execute their game plans will be critical to their success at the World Cup.

The left-arm pacer stated that the circumstances in India are similar to those in Pakistan, giving Pakistan an added advantage in the event.

“They will have a good chance of performing well in the World Cup 2023 in India, as the playing conditions there are similar to ours on the subcontinent,” Wasim Akram said.

Earlier today, former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag and former Sri Lankan spinner Muttiah Muralitharan named Pakistan one of their tournament favourites.

Due to their balanced and skilled sides, the renowned cricketers predicted that India, Pakistan, England, and Australia would be the top four teams in the event.

Meanwhile, the International Cricket Council (ICC) revealed the long-awaited schedule for the World Cup 2023, which will begin on October 5.
