Which TV Network Will Telecast PSL 9?

ASports, touted as Pakistan’s pioneer in High Definition sports channels, has secured the broadcasting rights for the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) cricket tournament. The winning bid from ASports amounted to Rs6.30 billion, signifying a significant investment in showcasing the premier cricket league. TenSports and PTV Sports emerged as the second and third highest bidders, offering Rs5.28 billion and Rs5.25 billion, respectively. Notably, there was no competition from other TV channels against ASports in the bidding process.

With this victory, ASports has gained the rights to broadcast PSL matches for the next two seasons, reinforcing its commitment to delivering high-quality sports content to the viewers. Blitz Advertising, on the other hand, secured the digital rights for PSL by acquiring them for Rs1.90 billion. It’s worth mentioning that the PSL management had initially set a base price of Rs7.35 billion for selling these rights.

The schedule for the upcoming PSL 9 was unveiled recently, outlining a total of 34 matches. Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi will serve as key hosts for the matches, with Karachi hosting 11 games and Lahore and Rawalpindi each hosting 9 matches. Multan is set to contribute 5 matches to the tournament.

Each of the participating teams, including Karachi Kings, Lahore Qalandars, Islamabad United, and Multan Sultans, is scheduled to play 5 home-ground matches. Peshawar Zalmi will play 4 matches each in Lahore and Rawalpindi. Meanwhile, Quetta Gladiators are designated to play 3 matches each in Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi.

The detailed schedule promises an exciting tournament spread across different cities in Pakistan, providing a platform for fans to witness top-tier cricketing action.
