Why Did Kieron Pollard Leave PSL Midway?

West Indian all-rounder Kieron Pollard will temporarily leave his Pakistan Super League franchise Karachi Kings for four days to attend the wedding ceremony of Mukesh Ambani’s son, Anant Ambani.

Pollard, known for his powerful batting, has also represented Mumbai Indians in the IPL, which is owned by Reliance Industries, the parent company of Mukesh Ambani.

The ongoing wedding ceremony of Ambani’s son is a grand affair, with many international cricketers such as Dwayne Bravo and Rashid Khan expected to attend, along with high-profile Indian dignitaries from Bollywood actors to successful industrialists.

Pollard will travel to Jamnagar, Gujarat, to attend the wedding, which is being hailed as one of the most glamorous events in the country.

Despite Pollard’s temporary absence, Karachi Kings will miss his contributions on the field. Pollard has been a standout performer for the team this season, scoring 196 runs in 5 matches with an impressive average of 98, including one half-century.

Currently, Karachi Kings are facing a rough patch in the tournament, having lost two matches in a row. They are currently placed in 5th position on the PSL points table. The team’s recent dip in form can be attributed to illnesses affecting key players, leading to disruptions in the team’s composition.

Shan Masood and his team will be looking to bounce back when they face Multan Sultans on March 3 at the National Bank Arena in Karachi.
