1 in Every 5 iPhones Now Indian-Made! Production Hits $22 Billion

India has emerged as a global powerhouse in iPhone manufacturing, now producing one in every five iPhones sold worldwide.

In fiscal year 2025, Appleโ€™s production in India skyrocketed to $22 billion โ€” a 60% increase from the previous year โ€” fueled by disruptions in China and government-backed incentives.

Of the total production, around $17.4 billion worth of iPhones were exported globally, marking a significant milestone for Indiaโ€™s growing role in global tech supply chains.

Key production partners such as Foxconn and Tata Group are leading this shift, helping Apple diversify away from its heavy reliance on Chinese factories.

With full-scale state subsidies and enhanced local capabilities, Apple is now manufacturing its entire iPhone lineup in India, including its high-end models. The move not only strengthens Apple’s supply chain resilience but also supports India’s broader ambition to become a global manufacturing hub.
