Trump Says China Offered Help On Strait of Hormuz, Urges Iran–US Talks

US President Donald Trump has said that Chinese President Xi Jinping has shown willingness to support efforts related to the Strait of Hormuz. The statement came during Trump’s official visit to Beijing.

According to Trump, Xi Jinping offers help if the United States faces difficulties linked to tensions with Iran. He shared these remarks during a television interview while discussing global energy and security concerns.

Trump explained that China imports large volumes of oil from Iran. He added that Beijing is likely to continue these purchases in the future. He also said China wants the Strait of Hormuz to remain open for global trade.

The US president noted that President Xi offers help in promoting stability in the region. He suggested that China supports diplomatic solutions between the United States and Iran. This approach, he said, could help avoid further escalation.

Trump also clarified that China has no plans to supply military equipment to Iran. He added that Beijing has already agreed to purchase 200 Boeing aircraft. This deal reflects ongoing economic engagement between the two countries.

During his visit, Trump attended a state dinner at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. At the event, President Xi addressed the importance of cooperation between the United States and China.

Xi Jinping emphasized that both nations should build relations based on mutual respect. He said China and the US are major global powers that should work as partners. According to him, both countries benefit when cooperation replaces rivalry.

In his remarks, Xi again showed that China offers help in strengthening diplomatic ties and maintaining global stability. He highlighted that shared interests can support peaceful development between the two nations.

The discussion between the two leaders focused on economic ties, regional security, and energy routes. The Strait of Hormuz remains a key strategic passage for global oil supply.

Both sides expressed interest in continued dialogue. The talks reflect ongoing efforts to manage tensions and promote cooperation on international issues.
