Dubai Launches 10-Year Visa for Gaming Professionals

Dubai

Dubai has rolled out a special opportunity for professionals in the gaming industry by offering a 10-year Golden Residency Visa under its Dubai Programme for Gaming 2033 (DPG33). The initiative is part of the city’s growing investment in e-sports and digital culture.

Launched by Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the visa falls under the ‘culture and arts’ category. It allows qualified gaming professionals to live and work in Dubai, contributing to its thriving digital economy.

To apply, candidates must be at least 25 years old and submit an accreditation certificate request through Dubai Culture. Applications must be submitted personally and include a passport copy, professional CV, portfolio, and cover letter. Approval by Dubai Culture is just the first step and doesn’t guarantee visa issuance.

This strategic move places Dubai among the few global cities that actively support and attract gaming talent. It further strengthens the UAE’s position as a future hub for creative and tech industries.
