Newly released documents connected to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein continue to make headlines worldwide. These released documents shed light on sensitive political and business matters involving prominent figures.
One set of documents highlights an email discussing Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 2017 visit to Israel. The message claims that Modi “took Epstein’s advice and danced and sang in Israel for the benefit of the US president.” It also states that the leaders had met weeks earlier.
New Delhi rejected the claims outright. A spokesperson for the Ministry of External Affairs called them “trashy ruminations by a convicted criminal.” The ministry emphasized there is no evidence of any advisory role or direct interaction between Modi and Epstein. Despite the denial, opposition parties in India are demanding an official explanation.
The released documents also expose Epstein’s major business dealings. In October 2015, Epstein, through Southern Trust Company Inc., signed a $25 million deal with the Rothschild Group. The contract involved “risk analysis” and algorithm-related services. Southern Trust, registered in the Virgin Islands with Epstein as president, worked with Edmond de Rothschild Holding S.A., represented by Ariane de Rothschild. The agreement outlined collaboration on “Specified Matters,” focusing on algorithms and risk evaluation.
Epstein’s emails also mention former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan. Declassified emails from 2013 reveal attempts to leverage Khan’s influence in Pakistan. A June 2013 email from former UN official Nasra Hassan described Khan as a “London society lion.” The email suggested using Khan’s status to advance Western-backed health initiatives in Pakistan, showing how Epstein sought to connect with rising political figures.
The released documents highlight Epstein’s networks and strategies involving global elites. They reveal intersections of diplomacy, politics, and personal influence long before some leaders assumed power.
Jeffrey Epstein died by suicide in a New York jail cell in August 2019, shortly after his federal indictment on sex trafficking charges. He had previously served time in Florida after pleading guilty to soliciting minors for prostitution. Investigators had linked him to abuse at his Palm Beach estate, though a plea deal limited the legal consequences.
The newly released documents continue to fuel international interest, offering insight into Epstein’s wide-reaching influence and controversial connections.
