French Military Reacts to Rafale Jet Downing Amid Pakistan-India Tensions

A representative of the French military has addressed recent claims that a Rafale fighter jet was shot down by the Pakistan Air Force amid renewed conflict between Pakistan and India.

Speaking at a press conference in Paris, the spokesperson emphasized that the situation is still developing, with many details yet to be confirmed. “We are actively assessing the reports regarding the Rafale’s performance and remain in close coordination with our strategic partner, India, to gather verified information,” the official stated.

He noted that initial accounts suggest a large-scale aerial confrontation involving hundreds of aircraft, and said France is eager to analyze and learn from the operational data gathered during the incident.
