Gang Massacre in Haiti Leaves 184 Dead Over Witchcraft Allegations

At least 184 people were brutally killed in Haiti’s Cite Soleil slum after gang leader Jean Monel Felix, alias “King Micanor,” blamed witchcraft for his child’s death. Most victims, including 130 elderly individuals, were attacked in their homes before being executed and burned.

The Wharf Jeremie gang orchestrated the massacre, reflecting the escalating violence amid Haiti’s political and security crisis. Gang coalition Viv Ansanm, led by ex-policeman Jimmy “Barbecue” Cherizier, has tightened its control over the capital, displacing over 41,000 people in recent weeks.
