On Monday, the Lebanon-based militant group Hezbollah launched hundreds of rockets into northern Israel, a day after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu admitted that Israel was behind the September pager attack on Hezbollah in Beirut, confirming his approval of the operation.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) shared a video on X showing the aftermath of one such strike, stating, “#Northern_Israel_Is_Under_Attack. We will continue to defend our civilians against Hezbollah’s aggression.”

According to The Times of Israel, over 165 rockets were fired, leaving seven people injured, including a one-year-old girl. The baby, along with a 27-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man, were injured by shrapnel in Bi’ina and were taken to a medical center in Nahariya.
The IDF reported that around 50 rockets targeted the Galilee facility, with others hitting Karmiel and nearby towns. Hezbollah claimed responsibility, stating it had targeted a Paratroopers Brigade training base in Karmiel.
In one of the largest attacks in the ongoing conflict, Hezbollah launched 90 rockets at Haifa in two waves. While air defenses intercepted most of the first 80 rockets, some towns were still hit. The second batch of 10 rockets was mostly intercepted or landed in open areas. Following the Haifa strikes, an IDF drone destroyed a Hezbollah rocket launcher used in the attack.
