India and China have reached an agreement on a new patrolling arrangement along their disputed Himalayan border, aiming to ease tensions that have been simmering since 2020.

Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri announced the development on Monday, highlighting progress in the ongoing disengagement efforts between the two neighboring nations.
The agreement is seen as a potential step towards resolving the standoff along the Line of Actual Control (LAC), where both countries had increased military activities over the past few years.
