Trump Seeks Time On Iran Ceasefire As Pakistan Prepares To Host Islamabad Talks 2.0

Trump Seeks Time On Iran Ceasefire As Pakistan Prepares To Host Islamabad Talks 2.0

Tensions between the United States and Iran have reached a critical level as diplomatic efforts continue under pressure. The situation has become increasingly unstable, with both sides trading strong accusations.

US President Donald Trump has confirmed a last-minute extension of the fragile Iran Ceasefire, pushing it forward by two more days until Wednesday evening. He warned that this may be the final extension.

The decision aims to keep diplomatic talks alive for a short period. However, officials say the window for a breakthrough is rapidly closing. The updated Iran Ceasefire is now seen as a final attempt to avoid renewed conflict.

Trump issued a firm warning that if no agreement is reached, serious consequences could follow. He stressed that the ceasefire could collapse completely if negotiations fail again.

US Vice President JD Vance is expected to arrive in Pakistan on Tuesday. His visit is focused on developments linked to the Iran Ceasefire and efforts to revive stalled negotiations.

Meanwhile, Iran has strongly rejected US pressure tactics. Parliamentary Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf accused Washington of violating the ceasefire terms. He said Iran will not accept negotiations under coercion.

Iranโ€™s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi also criticized the situation. He said alleged US actions are damaging peace efforts and making the Iran Ceasefire harder to maintain.

Iran had earlier refused to attend a second round of talks in Islamabad. The decision followed rising tensions after a cargo ship incident in the Strait of Hormuz.

Pakistan continues to play a mediating role between both sides. Officials in Islamabad say there is still hope for dialogue, but the situation remains highly unstable.

Several key issues are blocking progress in the Iran Ceasefire talks. These include disputes over Iranโ€™s nuclear program, uranium stockpiles, and frozen financial assets.

Another major concern is the Strait of Hormuz, where shipping restrictions remain a major point of conflict. Iran is also demanding compensation for past damages.

Despite diplomatic efforts, both sides remain far apart. The future of the Iran Ceasefire now depends on whether last-minute negotiations can produce any breakthrough before the deadline.
