Iran President Vows Country Will Not Surrender to Israel or US Amid Escalating War

Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian has said that the country will never Surrender to pressure from Israel and the United States. His statement comes as the Middle East conflict enters its second week.

Speaking in a televised address on Saturday, Pezeshkian rejected calls for the Iranian people to accept unconditional Surrender. He said such demands would never be accepted by the nation.

According to the Iranian president, the country remains determined to defend its sovereignty. He stated that Iran’s enemies should abandon any hope that the nation will Surrender under pressure.

The current conflict began after major strikes were launched against Iran on February 28. Israel and the United States carried out the attacks, which led to a significant escalation in regional tensions.

The strikes reportedly killed Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. His death triggered a new phase of instability across the Middle East.

Following the attack, Iran responded with missile and drone strikes. These operations targeted Israel and several US interests located in Gulf countries.

President Pezeshkian is currently part of an interim leadership council that took charge after Khamenei’s death. The council is responsible for managing national affairs during this critical period.

During his speech, the president also addressed Iran’s neighbors. He apologized for attacks that affected nearby countries during the conflict.

Pezeshkian said the leadership understands the concerns of regional governments. He explained that Iran does not intend to target neighboring states unless they become involved in attacks against Iran.

“I apologize on behalf of Iran to the neighboring countries that were affected,” he said during the broadcast.

He added that the interim leadership council had recently agreed on a new policy regarding regional operations.

According to Pezeshkian, Iran will avoid further strikes against neighboring countries. Missile launches will only occur if attacks originate from those states.

Analysts say the statement aims to reduce tensions with nearby nations. At the same time, Iran continues to maintain a firm position that it will never Surrender to external pressure.
