Iran Reaffirms Push For Fair Deal After US Talks End Without Agreement

Iran Reaffirms Push For Fair Deal After US Talks End Without Agreement

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has said that Iran remains committed to reaching a balanced and fair deal. He stressed that progress is possible if the United States follows international law.

His remarks came after Iran-US talks, mediated by Pakistan, ended without any final agreement. Officials say the search for a fair deal continues despite growing political tensions in the region.

According to Iranian media, President Pezeshkian spoke by phone with Russian President Vladimir Putin shortly after the negotiations collapsed. Both leaders discussed regional security and efforts to maintain stability in West Asia.

The Iranian Presidentโ€™s Office said the discussion also included updates on the recent two-week ceasefire between Iran and the United States. The ceasefire was described as fragile but still important for diplomacy.

President Pezeshkian reiterated that Iran is ready for a fair deal that ensures long-term peace and security. He emphasized that such an agreement must respect international legal principles.

He added that Iranโ€™s position remains unchanged. The country seeks a structured and balanced agreement that protects regional stability. Officials believe a fair deal is still achievable under proper conditions.

Russian President Vladimir Putin reportedly criticized what he called double standards by Western countries. He highlighted the importance of respecting Iranโ€™s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Putin also expressed support for guarantees that would protect Iran from future conflict. He further called for compensation for damages linked to recent tensions.

The Kremlin confirmed the phone call and said both leaders reviewed ongoing diplomatic efforts. It noted that discussions focused on pathways toward peace and regional cooperation.

Putin also indicated Russiaโ€™s willingness to support negotiations. He offered to act as a mediator to help achieve a just and lasting settlement in the Middle East.

Despite the breakdown of recent talks, Iran continues to insist that a fair deal remains possible. Officials say dialogue is still the preferred path forward, provided mutual respect is maintained.
