US–Iran Tensions Explode As Iran Targets Regional American Military Sites

Iran has claimed a series of retaliatory military actions following recent US strikes in southern Iran. The developments have further increased tensions across the region.

According to Iranian military officials, the operations were carried out in response to what Tehran described as American aggression. The statement was issued by Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Headquarters.

Iran said several US-linked positions were targeted in the region. However, no detailed assessment of damage was provided by Iranian authorities.

Officials confirmed that the Iran strikes were intended as a direct response to recent US military operations. They said the actions were carefully planned and defensive in nature.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps also made several claims regarding separate attacks. It stated that a telecommunications tower in Sirik was damaged during earlier US strikes.

Iranian forces further alleged destruction of water storage facilities in the same area. These claims have not been independently verified.

In another statement, the IRGC said it conducted a drone operation targeting the US Fifth Fleet in Bahrain. The group warned of stronger responses if attacks continue.

Reports from Iranian media also suggested that a US MQ-9 drone was shot down over the Jam region. The US has not confirmed this claim.

Separately, Iran said missile strikes were launched against the Al-Azraq military base in Jordan. The Iran strikes reportedly targeted command centers and aircraft shelters.

Officials claimed that four key targets inside the base were hit. These included areas used for F-35 fighter aircraft operations.

The Revolutionary Guards also claimed responsibility for a drone attack on Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait. However, Kuwait’s military reported successful interception of threats.

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi criticized the United States for continued military actions. He warned Washington against further escalation in the region.

In a social media post, Araghchi stated that Iran would respond to any future aggression. He said Iranian forces would not leave any attack unanswered.

He also urged the United States to withdraw from the region to avoid further confrontation. His remarks reflected rising diplomatic tensions alongside the military escalation.

Earlier, US Central Command said it carried out self-defense strikes against Iranian targets. The operation reportedly included air and naval forces.

As tensions continue, analysts say further Iran strikes could deepen instability in the Gulf region. Both sides remain on high alert amid ongoing military movements.
