Iran Warns Regional Bases at Risk if Israel Receives Support

Iran has issued a stark warning to countries in the region, declaring that any state attempting to support Israel amid the current escalation will face retaliatory attacks on its military bases. The warning was delivered by a senior Iranian official in an interview with CNN on Saturday, intensifying fears of a broader regional conflict.

The unnamed official stated that Tehran “reserves the right – under international law – to respond decisively” to Israel, which it blames for recent deadly strikes on Iranian residential, military, and nuclear facilities. “Any country that attempts to defend the regime against Iran’s operations will, in turn, see its regional bases and positions become new targets,” the official added.

The comments follow Iran’s retaliatory missile offensive against Israel under Operation True Promise III. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) confirmed the launch of hundreds of ballistic missiles targeting Israeli positions, calling it a direct response to the death of Iranian commanders and nuclear scientists. The operation, according to Iranian authorities, was carried out under the directive of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei.

While the full impact of the missile barrage remains unverified, it signals a major escalation in the confrontation between Iran and Israel. Tehran’s threats have sparked alarm among Gulf nations and Western countries with military installations across the Middle East, as the possibility of regional entanglement grows more likely.
