Iranian Pezeshkian Praises Saudi Crown Prince MBS for Exceptional Hajj Services

Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman received a phone call on Thursday from Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, during which they exchanged Eid Al-Adha greetings and discussed enhancing regional cooperation.

During the conversation, President Pezeshkian expressed his appreciation for Saudi Arabia’s relentless efforts and exceptional services provided to Hajj pilgrims. He congratulated the Crown Prince on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha and praised the Saudi government for its efficient management of the pilgrimage and the care offered to worshippers at the holy sites, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

Iran’s state news agency IRNA also confirmed the call, quoting Pezeshkian’s commendation of Saudi Arabia’s dedication to ensuring a smooth and safe Hajj experience for pilgrims from around the world.

In response, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman thanked the Iranian president for his kind remarks and extended his own Eid greetings.

President Pezeshkian also highlighted Iran’s willingness to deepen relationships with all Muslim nations, particularly Saudi Arabia, expressing hope for greater cooperation and unity within the Islamic community.

This call follows the 2023 China-mediated agreement that restored diplomatic ties between Riyadh and Tehran, reflecting ongoing efforts to normalize and strengthen relations between the two regional powers.
