In a dramatic escalation, an Israeli official has told The Wall Street Journal that Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is “not off limits” as Israel intensifies its strikes on Iran’s nuclear and military infrastructure. Israeli media echoed the threat, suggesting a potential strike on Khamenei is under serious consideration.
This comes after a wave of Israeli attacks killed key Iranian nuclear scientists and IRGC generals, with officials vowing to make it impossible for Tehran to revive its nuclear ambitions. The recent strike reportedly damaged Iran’s Natanz facility and targeted critical defense sites in northern Tehran.

Meanwhile, Iran responded with another barrage of ballistic missiles, hitting cities across northern Israel and killing at least one person in Tamra. Explosions were reported in Tel Aviv and Haifa as residents rushed to shelters.
