An Israeli strike targeted Iran’s Assembly of Experts building in the holy city of Qom, Iranian media reported on Tuesday, as the regional War between Iran, Israel and the United States intensified.
According to Iran’s Mehr News Agency, the attack hit the Assembly of Experts complex. The body is responsible for supervising and selecting Iran’s next supreme leader. Iranian media claimed the building was completely destroyed, though independent verification remains limited.
Explosions were also reported in Tehran and the western city of Karaj. In the capital, blasts were heard near Revolution Square. The Israeli military later issued evacuation warnings for the Hakimiyeh industrial area in Tehran and Payam International Airport in Karaj. It said further strikes would follow in the coming hours.
The growing War has raised concerns beyond military targets. The head of a major Russian nuclear company said contact had been lost with Iran’s nuclear leadership during the strikes. This development has increased fears about oversight of Iran’s atomic facilities.
The Israeli military said it carried out a separate strike in Tehran targeting a senior Iranian commander. At the same time, Iranian missiles were reported to have hit central Israel. Israeli and US forces have continued operations against Iranian targets, including a reported strike on Iran’s state broadcaster.
Regional media reported that the death toll inside Iran has risen to 787 since the start of the latest escalation. Casualty figures have not been independently confirmed.
US President Donald Trump ruled out negotiations with Tehran. He said Iran had requested talks after joint US-Israeli attacks began. Iranian officials denied any such request and rejected claims of planned negotiations.
The War has also spread across neighboring countries. Hezbollah said it launched missiles at an Israeli military position in Upper Galilee after Israeli air raids targeted Beirut’s southern suburbs. Israel confirmed it is expanding a buffer zone inside southern Lebanon.
In the Gulf, the United Arab Emirates reported three deaths and 68 injuries from Iranian missile attacks. Officials said most missiles were intercepted and no direct hits struck critical infrastructure.
Saudi Arabia also reported drone strikes near the US Embassy in Riyadh. Authorities said the incident caused limited fire and minor damage.
