Israel to Allow Limited Food Into Gaza Amid Escalating Military Assault

Israel has announced it will permit a limited amount of food into Gaza for the first time in 10 weeks, responding to international pressure and fears of famine in the besieged enclave. The announcement coincides with the launch of Operation Gideon’s Chariot, described by the Israel Defense Forces as extensive ground operations across Gaza.

The blockade, which has halted all food, fuel, and medicine deliveries, has led to severe humanitarian concerns, including reports of malnourished children. Israel has stated it will prevent Hamas from controlling aid distribution to avoid compromising its military goals.

Recent Israeli air strikes have heavily impacted Gaza’s healthcare facilities, with three public hospitals in the north reportedly out of service and several others damaged. Medical staff have reported attacks without prior warning, with casualties among patients and healthcare workers.

Negotiations continue, with Israel demanding the release of hostages, the exile of Hamas leaders, and Gaza’s full disarmament as conditions for any agreement. The ongoing conflict has resulted in significant loss of life and drawn international legal scrutiny against Israeli leadership.
