At least 38 Palestinians, including five journalists, were killed in Gaza within the past 24 hours, raising the total death toll to 45,399 since October last year, according to Gaza’s Ministry of Health. Over 107,000 people have been injured in the ongoing conflict.
On Thursday morning, an Israeli airstrike targeted a broadcast van near al-Awda Hospital in the Nuseirat refugee camp, killing five journalists from the al-Quds Today TV channel. The victims included Fadi Hassouna, Ibrahim al-Sheikh Ali, Mohammed al-Ladah, Faisal Abu al-Qumsan, and Ayman al-Jadi, who was awaiting the birth of his first child outside the hospital.

The Israeli military claimed the strike targeted members of the Palestinian group Islamic Jihad but provided no evidence. The incident has drawn condemnation from press freedom organizations, highlighting Gaza as the world’s most dangerous place for journalists.
Israel continues to restrict access to foreign journalists, allowing entry only to those embedded with the military.
