In a significant gesture of cooperation, Japan has donated two Shinkansen bullet trains—the E5 and E3 series—valued at approximately PKR 1,972 crores to India. These state-of-the-art trains are set to support the testing and inspection of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail corridor, a pivotal project for India’s rail modernization.
