Khamenei Vows No Surrender as Iran Fires Hypersonic Missiles at Israel

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei declared that his nation “will never surrender,” as Iranian forces launched a barrage of hypersonic missiles at Israel amid escalating warfare between the two regional rivals. The statement came just hours after Israel claimed it had destroyed Iran’s internal security headquarters in Tehran and launched fresh strikes on missile facilities in western Iran.

In a televised address, Khamenei dismissed U.S. President Donald Trump’s recent call for Iran’s “unconditional surrender,” calling it unacceptable and warning Washington of severe consequences if it intervened. “America should know that any military intervention will undoubtedly result in irreparable damage,” he stated.

The sixth day of conflict has seen intensified attacks on both sides. Israel’s Defence Minister Israel Katz confirmed the destruction of Iran’s internal security complex, describing it as “the main arm of repression.” Iran responded with sweeping internet restrictions, citing misuse of communication networks by what it called “the aggressor.” A near-total blackout has reportedly affected much of the country.

Iran claims Israeli strikes have so far killed at least 224 people, including military officials and nuclear scientists. Israel has reported 24 fatalities and hundreds injured since the conflict began. Meanwhile, residential areas in both nations have suffered casualties, with mounting shortages reported in parts of Iran.

As the situation worsens, world leaders are calling for restraint. French President Emmanuel Macron urged Israel to halt strikes on non-military sites in Iran, while international efforts to evacuate foreign nationals from the region continue.
