Saudi Arabia has expanded Madinah’s public transport network with the introduction of Bus Route 300.
The service provides a direct connection between the Haramain High Speed Railway Station and Masjid Nabawi.
The new route aims to make travel easier for pilgrims, visitors and residents arriving in Madinah by train.
It also improves connections between the city’s high-speed railway and local bus network.
Route 300 Connects Haramain Station With Masjid Nabawi
According to official Madinah Bus network information, Route 300 links the railway station with the Prophet’s Mosque.
The service is particularly useful for passengers arriving from Makkah and Jeddah.
After leaving the train, passengers can use the bus to continue toward the central area around Masjid Nabawi.
The listed operating hours for Route 300 are from 7am until 11pm.
Buses are scheduled to operate at intervals of approximately 20 minutes.
This provides visitors with another public transport option for reaching the mosque from the railway station.
Haramain Railway Connects Major Saudi Cities
The Haramain High Speed Railway is an important transport link for pilgrims and other passengers.
It connects Madinah with Makkah and Jeddah.
The railway also provides connectivity with King Abdulaziz International Airport.
Trains on the network can operate at speeds of up to 300 kilometres per hour.
Route 300 creates a convenient onward connection for passengers after they reach Madinah.
Visitors can transfer from the railway network to a bus serving the Prophet’s Mosque area.
Madinah Bus Network Expands Public Transport
The wider Madinah Bus network currently consists of 15 main routes.
It also includes 455 primary and secondary stops across the city.
These services connect major religious, residential and transportation areas.
During the 1447 AH Hajj season, the network operated a fleet of 177 buses.
The buses supported the movement of pilgrims and visitors across Madinah during the busy pilgrimage period.
New Route Supports Pilgrims and Visitors
Improved public transportation is especially important during periods of high visitor numbers.
Madinah receives large numbers of pilgrims during Hajj and Ramadan. Many visitors travel to the city to pray at Masjid Nabawi and visit other religious sites.
The direct Route 300 connection can reduce the need for separate transport arrangements after arriving by train.
It also strengthens integration between Saudi Arabia’s rail and urban bus systems. The expansion forms part of efforts to improve transportation options for people travelling across Madinah.
For pilgrims arriving through the Haramain railway, the new route provides a simpler connection to the Prophet’s Mosque area.
