Muslims Worldwide Celebrated Eidul Fitr 2026 With Joy And Prayer

Muslims across the globe celebrated Eidul Fitr 2026 today with devotion and festive spirit. The festival marks the end of Ramadan and is observed with prayers, family gatherings, and charitable acts.

In the Gulf region, including Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates, overseas Pakistanis joined the celebrations. Many offered prayers for the well-being of Pakistan and their families. Major congregational prayers were held at Masjidul Haram in Makkah and Masjid-un-Nabwi in Madina.

However, in Jerusalem, prayers outside Masjid al-Aqsa faced restrictions as Israeli forces did not allow entry to worshippers. Despite these limitations, Muslims in Palestine, Yemen, Iraq, Lebanon, and Turkiye observed Eid prayers with devotion. The Grand Mosque in Kuwait, due to security concerns, suspended Eid prayers this year.

In Europe, Muslims in the United Kingdom, France, Spain, and Germany celebrated Eid with prayers and community gatherings. Similarly, Muslim communities in the United States, Canada, and Australia marked the festival with religious enthusiasm. In Africa, countries such as Morocco and Egypt also held prayers and celebrated the occasion.

In Pakistan, the Chairman of the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, announced that the Shawwal moon was not sighted. Consequently, Eidul Fitr will be celebrated in Pakistan on Saturday, March 21. The moon was also not sighted in India, Bangladesh, and several other countries, confirming the same date for their celebrations.

Families and communities are observing traditional customs, sharing meals, exchanging greetings, and performing charity. Eid is not only a religious occasion but also a time to strengthen social bonds and offer support to the less fortunate.

The global celebrations reflect the unity and devotion of Muslims worldwide, as people come together to mark the end of Ramadan with prayers, joy, and a spirit of generosity.
