Pilgrims Arrive in Mina as Hajj 2025 Rituals Begin

The sacred Hajj rituals began today in Makkah Mukarramah, with tens of thousands of pilgrims arriving in Mina, marking the start of the annual pilgrimage. Pilgrims will remain in Mina until Fajr on the 9th of Dhul Hijjah before proceeding to Arafat for the most important ritual, Waqoof-e-Arafa.

The Pakistan Hajj Mission has finalized transportation arrangements for over 88,000 government scheme pilgrims. A fleet of 932 buses is set to transport them to Mina before Zuhr prayers, with 72% expected to continue to Arafat via train and the remainder by bus.

Saudi authorities and the Pakistan Hajj Mission have both stressed the importance of adhering strictly to official schedules to avoid overcrowding and mitigate the effects of extreme heat. Pilgrims have been urged not to walk between the holy sites and instead use the designated transportation services.

From Arafat, pilgrims will travel to Muzdalifah to collect pebbles for the symbolic stoning ritual in Mina. The Saudi government has reiterated the importance of compliance with all movement plans to ensure a safe and smooth pilgrimage for all.
