Urfan Sharif, jailed for the murder of his 10-year-old daughter Sara Sharif, was attacked with a tin can lid at Belmarsh Prison, Sky News reported.
The assault, which occurred on January 1, left Sharif with slashes to his face and body, requiring stitches. A source revealed that two inmates ambushed him using a jagged tuna tin lid as a weapon.

Sara Sharif’s tragic death in August 2023 shocked the UK. She endured weeks of relentless abuse, with injuries described as “utterly horrendous.” Her father and stepmother, Beinash Batool, were sentenced to 40 and 33 years, respectively, after being found guilty in December.
The attack highlights the risks high-profile offenders face in prison. Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
