Tajikistan experienced a strong earthquake on Saturday, as confirmed by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC). The tremor registered a magnitude of 5.9 on the Richter scale, sending shockwaves through the region.
According to EMSC, the quake’s epicenter was located at a depth of 16 kilometers beneath the earth’s surface. The seismic activity caused panic in several areas, although no immediate reports of casualties or major damage have emerged.
