At least 10 people have been killed and several injured after a powerful explosion ripped through a chemical factory in Telangana’s Pashamylaram Industrial Area on Monday. The incident sparked chaos, fear, and urgent rescue efforts as thick smoke engulfed the outskirts of Hyderabad.

Rescue teams rushed to the scene, fearing more workers might be trapped under the rubble. Fire officials said the site remains hazardous due to lingering heat and possible chemical leaks. Operations at nearby factories have been suspended while safety checks are conducted.

Although the cause is still under investigation, preliminary reports point to a reactor malfunction. Civil society groups have slammed the poor enforcement of industrial safety protocols, demanding strict action and better oversight to prevent such tragedies.
