Trump Confirms Upcoming Visit to Saudi Arabia Amid $1 Trillion Investment Deal

Former US President Donald Trump announced plans to visit Saudi Arabia in the coming month, following a historic agreement with Riyadh to invest $1 trillion in American companies. The investment, which will span four years, focuses on military equipment and other US business sectors, further cementing the economic partnership between the two nations.

Speaking at the Oval Office, Trump highlighted the importance of the deal, noting that the Saudi government had committed to the massive investment. “I said, I’ll go if you pay $1 trillion to American companies… and they’ve agreed to do that,” he said, underscoring his close ties with Saudi Arabia and describing their relationship as “great.”

This comes after Saudi Arabia’s previous investment of $450 billion during Trump’s first term, with Trump pointing out that the Kingdom’s wealth has expanded alongside their strengthened diplomatic relations.

As the US and Saudi Arabia continue to build economic bridges, Trump’s Middle East envoy, Steve Witkoff, confirmed that the Kingdom will host a meeting between US and Ukrainian officials next week to address the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict. Additionally, Trump hinted at an upcoming decision regarding the temporary legal status of 200,000 Ukrainians currently in the US.

The $1 trillion deal is set to boost US industries, particularly in the defence sector, further solidifying the economic cooperation between the two nations.
