Former U.S. President Donald Trump issued a pointed warning to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, claiming that American intelligence knows his exact location and could target him if provoked. While he clarified that no such action was currently planned, the message was widely interpreted as a severe escalation in rhetoric.
“We know exactly where the so-called ‘Supreme Leader’ is hiding. He is an easy target, but is safe there — We are not going to take him out (kill!), at least not for now,” Trump wrote in a late-night social media post. His remarks sparked concern over rising hostilities between Washington and Tehran.

In a separate post, Trump claimed the U.S. had “complete and total control of the skies over Iran,” reinforcing the threat with a cautionary note: “We don’t want missiles shot at civilians or American soldiers. Our patience is wearing thin.”
Trump’s statement comes amid growing military and cyber tensions in the region. Many recall his previous authorization of the 2020 drone strike that killed Iranian General Qasem Soleimani — a move that escalated regional instability and prompted retaliation from Iran.
