Trump Warns Hamas to Accept Gaza Ceasefire Deal or Face Consequences

Gaza

U.S. President Donald Trump has issued a final warning to Hamas, demanding the group accept a proposed ceasefire and hostage-release deal. He stated that Israel has already accepted the terms and insisted this would be his β€œlast warning.”

Trump announced the ultimatum through a Truth Social post, urging Hamas to act quickly. He said there would be no further warnings if the group failed to respond. According to the proposal, Hamas would release 48 hostages on the first day of the ceasefire, while Israel would free thousands of Palestinian prisoners.

Hamas confirmed it had received the new ideas through mediators. The group expressed a willingness to discuss them but also repeated its key conditions. These include a declared end to the war and a full withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza.

Speaking to reporters after returning to Washington, Trump said he expects a deal β€œvery soon.” He added that he is confident all hostagesβ€”alive or deceasedβ€”will eventually be returned under the agreement.

The ultimatum highlights the high stakes of the ongoing conflictin gaza. For Trump, it is a chance to secure a breakthrough deal that could reshape the situation in Gaza. For Hamas, the pressure is rising as diplomatic efforts intensify.

Whether this ultimatum leads to an agreement or deepens the divide will be seen in the coming days. The decision now lies with Hamas as the deadline draws closer.
