US President Donald Trump has said the conflict with Iran could end after the November midterm elections.
Trump also predicted that global oil prices would fall after the polls. He suggested that diplomatic efforts with Iran could still continue.

US media reported that several American military aircraft were damaged in Jordan. The reported strikes targeted Muwaffaq Salti Air Base.
CBS reporter Jennifer Jacobs said an A-10 Thunderbolt was hit by an Iranian missile. The strike reportedly destroyed one wing of the aircraft.
Around eight F-15 fighter jets also suffered minor damage, according to reports. The aircraft were later repaired and returned to operational service.
Earlier reports suggested the US military had started moving helicopters from the Jordanian base. The reported movements came amid rising regional tensions.
The incidents highlight the growing military risks surrounding the Iran-US conflict. They also raise concerns about potential attacks on American assets in the region.
Iran Calls for US Intervention to End
Iran has called on Washington to end what it described as destabilising regional intervention.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei rejected accusations made by US Secretary of State officials. The accusations concerned Yemen’s Ansarullah movement.
Baghaei said Ansarullah is an independent Yemeni organisation. He rejected claims that the group operates as an Iranian proxy.
According to Baghaei, the group makes its own decisions. He said it does not receive instructions from another country.
The Iranian spokesperson blamed US military involvement for regional instability. He also criticised what he called Washington’s hegemonic policies.
Iran Rejects Military Solution in Yemen
Baghaei said lasting peace in Yemen cannot be achieved through military action. He argued that external pressure would not resolve the conflict.
He instead called for genuine negotiations between the involved parties. He said a lasting settlement should follow an agreed roadmap.
The comments came as tensions between Washington and Tehran remained elevated. Both sides have continued exchanging accusations over regional security.
