Trump Urges Evacuation of Tehran as Iran-Israel Conflict Enters Fifth Day

The armed conflict between Israel and Iran intensified for a fifth consecutive day on Tuesday, as both nations launched fresh strikes, further escalating what has become the most severe confrontation between the two regional rivals to date. U.S. President Donald Trump issued a stark warning to Iranians, urging them to evacuate Tehran, citing the country’s refusal to accept a proposed nuclear deal.

Speaking at the G7 summit in Canada, Trump underscored that “Iran must never have a nuclear weapon” and reaffirmed Israel’s right to defend itself. French President Emmanuel Macron revealed that Trump had offered a ceasefire proposal to both Iran and Israel, signaling a potential diplomatic opening amid the violence. “Now we need to see what the stakeholders will do,” Macron said, noting the urgency of de-escalation.

Iranian media reported renewed explosions in Tehran and Natanz, with Israeli projectiles targeting key sites including nuclear facilities. A recent Israeli strike on Iran’s broadcasting authority killed two individuals, and Israeli officials say 24 civilians have died on their side. Iran, meanwhile, reports over 220 civilian casualties. Amid the chaos, Trump posted on Truth Social: “Everyone should immediately evacuate Tehran!”

While Israel maintains it has seized control of Iran’s airspace and crippled its military and nuclear infrastructure, Iranian officials have requested regional mediators—including Oman, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia—to press the U.S. for a ceasefire. In return, Tehran has signaled willingness to re-engage in nuclear talks, which were recently suspended.

Oil prices surged over 2% in Asia following Trump’s evacuation message. Meanwhile, the Chinese embassy in Israel advised its nationals to leave the country, reflecting growing global alarm over the conflict’s rapid escalation.
