US President Donald Trump has called on Israel to cancel its ceasefire deal with Hamas, warning that “all hell is going to break out” if the hostages held in Gaza are not released by noon on Saturday. Speaking from the Oval Office, Trump’s remarks came in response to the indefinite postponement of a scheduled hostage release, with Hamas accusing Israel of failing to uphold the ceasefire terms.
Trump expressed doubts over the fate of the remaining hostages, saying, “I think a lot of the hostages are dead,” and warned that if they were not freed by his deadline, there would be severe repercussions.

Controversial Plan for Gaza
Trump’s comments come amid growing concern over his administration’s controversial plan for Gaza, which includes permanently displacing Palestinians and placing the enclave under US control. In recent remarks, he reiterated that Palestinians would not have the right to return to Gaza, instead proposing they be provided with “much better housing” elsewhere.
The plan has faced strong backlash from Arab nations, international human rights organizations, and even some of Trump’s administration officials, who have been caught off guard by his proposals.
Tensions Rise With Jordan and Egypt
Trump also suggested that US aid to Jordan and Egypt could be withheld if they refuse to accept displaced Palestinian refugees. Both nations have strongly opposed any forced relocation of Palestinians, with Jordan’s King Abdullah set to meet with Trump in an effort to address the issue.
Administration Attempts to Clarify
In the wake of Trump’s statements, some administration officials have sought to downplay the plan, describing it as a temporary relocation effort to facilitate Gaza’s reconstruction. However, Trump himself has maintained that his plan is long-term, positioning it as an opportunity for American-led redevelopment in the region.
