Three more Pakistan players have been signed in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2026 players’ auction held in Dhaka on Sunday. The notable overseas signings include fast bowler Ihsanullah, all-rounder Jahandad Khan, and middle-order batter Haider Ali.
The upcoming edition of the BPL will run from December 26, 2025, to January 23, 2026. This season will feature only five teams, down from seven, marking a significant structural change. Dhaka Capitals and Rangpur Riders will continue in the league, while Chattogram Royals, Rajshahi Warriors, and Sylhet Titans will participate under new ownership. Defending champions Fortune Barishal and Khulna Tigers will not feature this year.
Ihsanullah attracted the highest bid among the Pakistani players, being signed by Noakhali Express for USD 28,000 in Category C of foreign players. The right-arm pacer has previously represented Pakistan in one ODI and four T20Is and is looking forward to a fresh start after an earlier uneventful stint with Rangpur Riders.
Haider Ali was also picked by Noakhali Express for USD 20,000. The 24-year-old middle-order batter brings valuable international experience with 37 appearances for Pakistan and 13 BPL matches, scoring 213 runs with a top score of 48 not out.
Meanwhile, Jahandad Khan will play for Rajshahi Warriors after being signed for USD 20,000 in the same category. The all-rounder made his T20I debut against Australia last November and has played eight internationals to date.
With these signings, the total number of Pakistani players in this year’s BPL rises to nine. Earlier, Usman Khan joined Dhaka Capitals, Abrar Ahmed was signed by Chattogram Royals, while Sylhet Titans secured Saim Ayub and Mohammad Amir. Rangpur Riders picked up young wicketkeeper-batter Khawaja Nafay, and Rajshahi Warriors also roped in top-order batter Sahibzada Farhan.
The addition of three more Pakistan players strengthens the overseas contingent, promising exciting performances and competitive cricket in the upcoming season. Fans are eagerly anticipating the impact of these stars on the tournament.
