Discord has introduced its first personalized year-end wrap-up, called Checkpoint, highlighting users’ activity and gaming habits throughout the year. The feature functions similarly to Spotify Wrapped but focuses on chat and voice interactions.
Rolling out on December 4, Checkpoint marks Discord’s inaugural year-in-review feature. The launch coincides with the platform’s 10th anniversary celebrations. While the company has not confirmed whether Checkpoint will become an annual event, it is currently available for all users who have enabled data personalization in their privacy settings.
Users can access their Checkpoint in multiple ways: on desktop, by clicking the flag icon in the top-right corner; and on mobile, by tapping the “You” icon in the bottom-right corner and selecting the green Checkpoint banner. Viewing the report also unlocks a temporary decorative profile frame, available until January 15, even for users who were not highly active during the year.
In addition to individual summaries, Discord released a global wrap-up highlighting trends from its 200 million monthly active users worldwide. League of Legends topped the chart as the most played game, while the indie co-op horror game R.E.P.O. emerged as the favorite among indie titles.
Emoji usage also reflected global trends, with ❤️ (Red Heart) being the most used emoji at 2.18 billion uses, followed by 😭 (Sobbing) at 1.71 billion. These insights provide a glimpse into the collective behavior of Discord users throughout 2025.
The introduction of Checkpoint represents Discord’s push toward personalized experiences and user engagement. It allows gamers and community members to reflect on their interactions and celebrate milestones within the platform, enhancing social connectivity while highlighting popular trends across the global Discord community.
