Pakistani security forces killed 12 Indian-sponsored terrorists during an intelligence-based operation in Kalat District targeting members of the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), the military’s media wing confirmed on Sunday.

The operation was launched after security agencies detected suspicious militant activity in the area.

According to the ISPR, the militants belonged to the BLA, also known by the military as Fitna al-Hindustan. Security forces engaged the armed group after pinpointing their location. The military further stated that sanitization efforts are still underway. Troops are searching nearby areas to eliminate any remaining militants. Authorities believe a few individuals may still be hiding in the rugged terrain surrounding Kalat.

Security forces stressed that this action is part of the broader counterterrorism plan under the national vision “Azm-e-Istehkam.” The Federal Apex Committee recently approved this framework to strengthen the National Action Plan and intensify operations against foreign-backed militant networks.
