Case Against Rajab Butt, Maan Dogar, Haider Over Ducky Bhai ‘Kidnap’ Video

The Lahore sessions court has taken up a petition seeking registration of a criminal case against YouTuber Rajab Butt and his associates. The case relates to a controversial social media video that allegedly caused fear and public concern.

An additional sessions judge heard the initial arguments on the application. The court issued notices to all named individuals. They were asked to submit written replies by January 30. The judge said further action would follow after reviewing these responses.

The petition was filed by a citizen through legal counsel. The petitioner requested the court to order police to register a formal criminal complaint. The application claimed that the video showed planning of a fake kidnapping.

According to the petitioner’s lawyer, the video involved Rajab Butt, Haider Ali, and Maan Dogar. The footage allegedly showed them stopping a vehicle during the incident. The target was said to be linked to YouTuber Ducky Bhai.

The petition further claimed that Ducky Bhai’s brother, Muneeb, was forcibly taken during the incident. It was alleged that he was detained inside a vehicle. His face was reportedly covered with a black cloth.

The petitioner alleged that Rajab Butt and Maan Dogar physically assaulted Muneeb. The act was described as staged but dangerous. The video was later shared on social media platforms.

According to the petition, Haider Ali recorded the entire incident. The footage spread quickly online. Many viewers believed the incident was real. This reportedly caused panic and fear among the public.

The petitioner argued that such content harms public peace. The lawyer said it also violates accepted moral standards. The application stated that social media influence should not be misused.

The court was told that the video could encourage copycat behavior. It may also undermine trust in public safety. The petitioner urged strict legal action against the suspects. The judge noted the seriousness of the allegations. However, the court did not issue immediate directions for case registration. Instead, it sought replies from all parties.

The additional sessions judge summoned the accused individuals for the next hearing. The court fixed January 30 as the next date. Proceedings will continue after reviewing their statements.
