Rawalpindi Tragedy Missing 14-Year-Old Girl Found Murdered in City Park

RAWALPINDI – A 14-year-old girl who went missing from Rawalpindi’s Dhok Hassu area earlier this week was found murdered on Saturday, police confirmed.

The body of the girl, identified as Misbah, was recovered from Ladies Park on Carriage Factory Road, within the jurisdiction of Ratta Amral police station. Senior officers, including SSP Operations, SSP Investigation, and SP Rawal, visited the scene along with a police team. The body was shifted to a nearby hospital for a post-mortem examination, while forensic evidence was collected from the location.

According to police, the girl went missing on January 22 around 9:00 PM while going to a nearby shop to buy cold drinks and household items. Only female family members were present at home when she left. When Misbah did not return, her family searched the area and contacted relatives but could not find her.

An FIR regarding her abduction was filed on January 23 by her elder brother, Ali Raza, under Section 363 of the Pakistan Penal Code, which deals with kidnapping. Police launched a formal investigation following the complaint.

“The incident is being investigated from all angles,” a police spokesperson said. Authorities are awaiting the post-mortem report to determine whether the girl was sexually assaulted before being murdered.

The spokesperson confirmed that Misbah’s body had been identified by her family. “After completion of the investigation, those responsible for the girl’s murder will be arrested and produced before the court,” the Rawalpindi police added.
