From Punjab to Karachi: The Shocking Capture of a Serial Rapist

In a major breakthrough, Karachi Police arrested a serial child rapist involved in the alleged abuse of over 100 children. The suspect, also known as “Lal Badshah,” was among Punjab Police’s most wanted criminals. His accomplice was also taken into custody during the operation in Tipu Sultan area.

Officials revealed that the suspect had been evading authorities for years. Punjab Police tipped off Karachi Police after confirming his presence in the city. This inter-provincial coordination led to a targeted operation resulting in his arrest.

Police records show at least eight cases against the rapist in Punjab between 2018 and 2023. Charges include kidnapping, child abuse, confinement, robbery, attempted murder, and forcible abduction. Cases were registered across multiple districts including Khanewal, Shahdara, Bhati Gate, and Ravi Road.

In Karachi, eight complaints were filed between 2020 and 2025. DNA tests confirmed that the same individual was responsible for abuse incidents spanning six years. Victims, mostly boys aged 12–13, identified him in court, strengthening the prosecution’s case.

Karachi Additional Inspector General Azad Khan formed a special investigation team led by CIA DIG Muqaddas Haider. The East Investigation Unit arrested the most wanted rapist just 11 days after the team’s formation. The suspect, a resident of Manzoor Colony, worked as a puncture dealer.

Authorities stated that after completing the Karachi cases, the suspect may be handed over to Punjab Police for further proceedings. Investigations continue to identify additional victims and possible accomplices.
