A team of doctors carried out a medical check-up of Imran Khan at Adiala Jail on Tuesday. The visit focused on examining his eyes. Officials confirmed that the medical review was completed without incident.
According to reports, a joint team from Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences and Al-Shifa Trust Eye Hospital arrived at the jail earlier in the day. The facility is located in Adiala Jail.
The medical team included retina specialist Dr. Nadeem Qureshi. Ophthalmologists Dr. Arif and Dr. Osal were also part of the group. All three doctors are associated with Al-Shifa Trust Eye Hospital.
The team traveled in a vehicle equipped with modern medical tools. These instruments allowed them to conduct a detailed eye examination inside the prison. Jail hospital staff assisted the visiting doctors during the procedure.
Sources said the check-up was part of a follow-up review. The doctors assessed the condition of Imran Khan’s eyes and monitored any ongoing issues. No official medical report was released after the visit.
After completing the examination, the doctors left the jail premises. Their visit lasted for a few hours. Prison authorities confirmed that the process was smooth and orderly.
Imran Khan, the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), remains in custody at Adiala Jail. His health has remained a topic of public interest. Supporters have repeatedly called for regular medical updates.
