Good news for travelers between Pakistan and the UK: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is introducing a Weekly Nonstop flight from Lahore to Manchester starting this July.
The new service will use a Boeing 777, allowing passengers to reach Manchester in just over eight hours. The Weekly Nonstop route eliminates the need for connecting flights, making travel faster and more convenient.
The UK hosts one of the largest Pakistani diaspora populations, particularly in Manchester. Many families trace their roots back to Punjab and northern Pakistan. This connection has created steady demand for direct flights between Lahore and Manchester.
The outbound flight from Manchester to Lahore (PK710) will depart every Friday at 7:30 PM, landing in Lahore at 7:30 AM the following morning. The return flight from Lahore to Manchester (PK709) will depart every Saturday at 12:25 PM and arrive in Manchester at 5:00 PM, with a flight time of roughly eight hours and 35 minutes.
This new route is part of PIAโs strategy to rebuild its international network. Earlier this year, the airline resumed direct flights from Lahore to London on March 30 after a six-year hiatus. The move came following lifted restrictions on Pakistani carriers.
In addition, PIA has launched three weekly flights from Islamabad to London, further expanding its presence in the UK. Together, these services aim to strengthen connections between Pakistan and its diaspora in the United Kingdom.
PIA officials say the Weekly Nonstop service will provide more flexibility for travelers visiting family, managing business, or exploring the UK. Passengers can enjoy modern amenities and comfortable seating aboard the long-haul Boeing 777 aircraft.
The airline continues to focus on growth and improving passenger experience. By offering reliable Weekly Nonstop flights, PIA hopes to make international travel more seamless for Pakistani travelers and foster stronger economic and cultural ties.
