The federal government has introduced a free shuttle service for local and international media covering the US-Iran negotiations in Islamabad. The initiative aims to ensure smooth and timely transportation for journalists attending the high-level talks.
According to an official statement, the shuttle service will start operating on April 11, 2026, from 6:00 am. The buses will transport media representatives to the Media Facilitation Center set up at the Jinnah Convention Center.
The service will run at regular intervals throughout the day. Journalists can board the shuttle service from the F-8 side parking area of Centaurus Mall. This arrangement is expected to reduce travel delays and improve access to the venue.
Authorities have made it clear that all media personnel must carry their special access cards. These cards are required for entry into the convention center and to use the transport facility. Without proper identification, boarding may not be allowed.
The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting described the initiative as an important step to support journalists. Officials said the shuttle service will help media teams focus on coverage instead of logistics. It will also ensure better coordination during the international event.
The US-Iran talks have drawn global attention, with many international journalists arriving in Pakistan. The government is taking extra steps to provide facilities and maintain order during the event. The transport arrangement is part of a broader plan to assist the media.
Officials added that contact points have been shared for further guidance. Media representatives can reach out for updates regarding schedules and routes.
The launch of the shuttle service reflects Pakistanโs effort to host the talks efficiently. It also highlights the countryโs commitment to facilitating transparent and smooth media coverage of important diplomatic developments.
Overall, the initiative is expected to make reporting easier and more organized during the ongoing negotiations in the capital.
