Will Petrol Prices Fall in Pakistan As Global Oil Prices Decline?

Will Petrol Prices Fall in Pakistan As Global Oil Prices Decline?

All eyes are now on the government as Pakistan prepares for a new fuel price announcement. Citizens are hoping for fresh Petrol Price Relief after recent changes in diesel rates. The expectation comes as global crude oil prices have dropped sharply.

International oil markets have fallen by nearly 10 percent. Prices are now hovering around $84 to $85 per barrel. This decline has increased hopes of further Petrol Price Relief for consumers already facing inflation pressure.

The federal government, led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, is set to review petroleum prices soon. The weekly review is expected to bring new adjustments. Many believe this could result in another round of Petrol Price Relief for the public.

In the previous update, petrol prices were reduced by around Rs12 per litre. Diesel also saw a major cut of nearly Rs135 per litre. Officials had linked that decision to falling global oil rates. That move was widely seen as initial Petrol Price Relief for consumers.

Sources suggest petrol prices may drop closer to Rs350 per litre in the upcoming review. However, no official confirmation has been issued yet. The final decision will depend on international market trends and government policy.

The possibility of continued Petrol Price Relief is also being supported by global developments. Reports of a potential USโ€“Iran diplomatic breakthrough have eased concerns in the oil market. This has helped stabilize crude prices worldwide.

At present, petrol in Pakistan is priced at Rs366.58 per litre. Diesel stands at Rs353.42 per litre. Despite recent fluctuations, both fuels have shown signs of gradual decline.

In global markets, Brent crude is trading near $90.38 per barrel. Meanwhile, US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) remains around $83.85. These trends are influencing expectations of further Petrol Price Relief in Pakistan.

Overall, consumers are watching the upcoming announcement closely. If global trends continue, more Petrol Price Relief could be on the way, offering much-needed support to households and businesses across the country.
