ISLAMABAD โ Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has reportedly expressed dissatisfaction over the performance of three senior lawyer-leaders within the party.
According to reports citing sources, the PTI founder is unhappy with Senator Hamid Khan, Salman Akram Raja, and Intizar Panjotha.
Sources claimed that Imran Khan questioned their political performance and raised concerns about candidates who were awarded election tickets under his name.
He reportedly said he had been assured that lawyer candidates would win elections and later lead a movement for his release.
However, sources said the expected results did not materialize, leading to frustration within the party leadership.
Reports also suggested that Mishal Yousafzai connected the idea of organizing a lawyersโ convention to a meeting with the former prime minister.
Meanwhile, Imran Khanโs sister Aleema Khan has also openly criticized the legal leadership of PTI on several occasions.
Earlier, PTI Secretary General Salman Akram Raja strongly rejected allegations made against him by Aleema Khan.
He denied claims that he was helping the government and called the accusations completely false.
Raja also addressed criticism regarding the cancellation of the partyโs April 9 rally.
He said the decision to cancel the gathering was made by the party founder himself and described it as the right step.
Expressing frustration over the criticism, Raja said he does not care about titles or positions within the party.
He also stated that Aleema Khan may not fully understand the political strategy currently needed.
According to Raja, strengthening party organization remains the top priority at this stage.
